The Behringer Xenyx X2442USB features 16 channels comprised of ten mic preamps with eight compressors, eight mono channels, two mic/stereo channels, and two solely stereo channels. There are also four sub mix channels. Each regular channel contains both an insert and two aux sends, as well as a semi-parametric 3-band EQ with adjustable mid-band frequency. The latter are reconfigurable to function either pre or post fader.

Additionally, the unit has two post-fader effects sends. One of these effects sends has an integrated 24-bit effects processor with 16 adjustable presets. Best of all, the unit contains an integrated USB interface, meaning users can record almost any line-level signal directly to their computer.
