The BeeBeeDee from Beetronics FX takes everything you love about the warm sound of analog bucket-brigade delay and gives you plenty more to buzz about with powerful digital control. This versatile mono delay is based around two bucket brigade chips with a digital engine that controls the analog signal path, allowing you to morph and twist this classic analog design into novel timbres and textures. Select between three modes to dive deep into classically smooth repeats, revel in the tape-inspired warble of Lo-Fi mode, or get creative with the captivating Pitch Mode. These three modes offer a flexible range of tones to explore, with plenty of shaping options to dial in unique delay tones.

On the control panel, a manual control for delay time provides up to 600ms repeats that can be further extended down to a glitchy two-minute delay with the tap tempo feature. Set repeats from simple slapback to spiraling feedback, and dial in the perfect blend of input and delay signals with the Mix knob. In each mode, the Depth and Activity knobs offer control over various aspects of the delay's modulation and core settings. In classic mode, depth sets the depth of sine-wave modulation, while activity sets the speed. Lo-Fi mode features Depth control over the tape-inspired warbling time and tone modulation, while activity sets the frequency of these analog artifacts. In Pitch mode, depth selects between specific pitch options with creative modes like two-note and random, with Activity selecting the subdivision at which the delay line will shift in pitch.

Unique to Beetronics' BBD design is a musical tilt filter that allows you to sculpt the tone of repeats with both low and high pass options at either side of the knob's travel. BeeBeeDee provides an exceptional option for performing with the delay as nearly an instrument itself, with three selectable performance control options allowing you instant footswitch access to a latching or momentary 2x pitch and delay time shift, tap tempo, or direct modulation control. Thanks to its diverse tone shaping options, the pedal sounds great on guitar, bass, and synths, bringing its wonderfully characterful sound to any signal path.
