Like the original, the 525A features a combined threshold and make-up gain control in the Ceiling control, enabling highly intuitive sculpting of dynamic content. For fine tuning, dedicated threshold and gain controls are also onboard for sculpting input and output dynamic processing. New to the 525A are variable attack and release controls, with a continuous control for attack and seven selectable release settings enabling a greater flexibility in dialing in the perfect dynamic character for any recording. With its entirely discrete design, vintage tone and features like an onboard VU meter, and the premium quality API is known for, the 525A 500 Series FET Compressor is a fantastic addition to any studio rack.
