It houses a 25-note velocity-sensitive keyboard with corresponding octave up/down buttons that enables players to harness a variety of divergent musical parts, including chords, basslines, and even melodies! The engineers at Alesis even had the foresight to include 4 assignable knobs and buttons so that players can manipulate a variety of parameters contained within their favorite software. This could include initializing effects, controlling volume levels, opening/closing filters, and much more. Taking things a step further, V25 boasts 8 velocity-sensitive pads for expedient clip launching and/or drum programming. Of course, all of these stunning features are rounded off by traditional pitch bend and modulation wheels, giving players everything they need to control their music with the utmost precision.

But that’s far from the gist. That’s because V25 provides seamless integration with all the best software. Simply connect to a computer and it’s ready to go. No fussing with pesky drivers and wasting time toiling with troublesome technology. Additionally, Alesis bundled V25 with both Ableton Live Lite 9 and Xpand!2 by AIR Music Tech. Ableton Live Lite 9 is an intuitive environment where players can create, record, remix, and manipulate their music as they see fit. Xpand!2 is a virtual instrument that houses an array of sounds, including those produced by synthesizers and acoustic instruments. Used together, these two programs let musicians around the globe explore sonic horizons previously only available in the most sprawling recesses of the imagination.
