AKG C451 B

A modern take on a classic microphone, the AKG C451 B is a robust small-diarphragm condenser microphone with handy features and a tried-and-true sound. It's largely based upon the C451 EB condenser and CK1 capsule dating back to 1969, and has been a consistently popular choice for drum hihats and overheads, strings, and guitars for decades.

The C451 B offers an optional onboard high-pass filter with a 12dB slope at 75 and 150 Hz to carve out unruly bass frequencies, and up to -20dB pad. With a durable design built to last you through countless sessions, AKG's C451 B is a dependable microphone. With its wide range of time-tested uses, every studio should have one—or, more realistically, every studio should have two.
