The MPC Live III from AKAI is a refreshed and super-charged version of the much beloved portable pad-based workstation that increases the power, storage, and playability. The most obvious change is the addition of a physical sequencer, with sixteen soft buttons that allow you to easily access each step, making programming fast and always accessible. Additionally, in exchange for a little extra girth, you have a playable touch strip that can be freely assigned to numerous performance effects; you also have a built-in microphone that gives you the freedom to sample or perform whenever you want. Under the hood, you have a completely updated processor, with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage that is expandable via an external hard drive using one of the three available USB ports, the SD card slot, or by installing an SSD SATA drive.

Just like the previous version, connectivity is paramount, providing eight CV/Gate outputs for modular equipment, alongside four full size MIDI inputs and outputs for controlling external hardware. Easily pipe in your audio using the RCA inputs for a turntable, or the dual combo XLR/TRS jacks for analog audio. Additionally, the inclusion of a USB-C port has made it possible to run twenty-four channels of audio in and out.
