This all-analog equalizer is a faithful recreation of the classic EQP-1R, complete with discrete high and low-end Boost and Attenuation controls for achieving the elusive "Pultec Trick". This module was designed and built with sound quality in mind, with components chosen for the most pleasing and musical results and the lowest possible noise floor. It features a custom flying gyrator, which is a synthetic inductor, and less common than traditional inductors found in most EQs. This makes the high-frequency boosting from Horizon detailed and full while simultaneously eliminating hum and interference, making this module useful not only in a Eurorack context, but also for studio-grade mixing and mastering.

The Horizon features two Boost knobs, and two companion Attenuation controls, each with their own frequency selector. Like the gear that inspired it, this set of controls allow you create full and detailed EQ shapes, giving your sounds more dimension and depth. The high-frequency controls add shimmering high end, while the low controls bring your sounds to life, adding a full, weighty sound to anything you can throw at it. The Horizon features a wide spectrum of frequency ranges to select from, giving you access to a plethora of potential mixing configurations. It also provides a Q control for dialing in the bandwidth of the high frequency boost EQ shape. Last but not least, the final make-up Gain control allows you to add a boost (or cut) to the overall sound with a range of -20dB to +10dB, adding subtle harmonic saturation as you push it higher. The module also offers stereo and mono processing, making it an ideal companion for nearly any application.
